About the Role

As biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare organizations accelerate the adoption of generative AI into operational workflows, ensuring accuracy, data compliance, and operational reliability is paramount.

We are seeking an experienced AI Operations Specialist to lead and monitor AI-driven documentation, prompt pipelines, and automated processes across clinical and life sciences projects. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical models, regulatory workflows, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Monitoring & QA: Oversee the day-to-day execution of LLM workflows, automated text extraction, and clinical data summarization tools.
  • Compliance & Data Integrity: Maintain operational adherence to regulatory guidelines (HIPAA, GCP, and internal data security policies) across all AI integrations.
  • Workflow Automation: Build, maintain, and optimize prompt chains and automation bridges using platforms like Zapier, Make, n8n, or custom API endpoints.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, data engineers, and compliance officers to improve system latency and model precision.
  • Incident Response: Identify model drift, edge cases, and unexpected outputs, implementing rapid operational fixes and system fail-safes.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years in technical operations, workflow orchestration, systems management, or prompt engineering.
  • Domain Awareness: Prior exposure to Healthcare, Biotech, Pharma, or Health Informatics workflows is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Practical understanding of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), automation tooling, and basic data handling/scripting.
  • Attention to Detail: Rigorous approach to quality assurance, data hygiene, and structured documentation.
  • Communication: Strong asynchronous written English communication skills for a fully distributed team.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Competitive Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 USD annual base (commensurate with experience).
  • Flexible Remote Setup: Work from anywhere with a modern home-office stipend.
  • Health Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance packages.
  • Professional Development: Annual learning budget for AI certifications, conferences, and technical workshops.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous flexible PTO and paid parental leave.
