Databricks is hiring a full-time AI/ML Specialist Solutions Architect for a remote position in the United States. The role leads customer AI/ML technical strategy, from early discovery through production implementation and expanded platform use, while advising customer architects, engineering leaders, and directors. The architect also develops a focused technical specialty and serves as an internal resource in that area.

The work includes designing production-scale AI/ML architectures, demonstrating Databricks solutions in competitive situations, coordinating Databricks specialists and partners, and sharing structured customer feedback to inform product direction. Solutions may cover RAG, tool calling, multi-agent orchestration, guardrails, evaluation, and observability.

The listed annual pay range is $180,000–$247,500. Actual compensation depends on candidate-specific factors, including skills, experience, certifications, training, and work location; the role may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and region-specific benefits. Travel of up to 30% may be needed. If duties require access to export-controlled technology or source code, Databricks may choose whether to seek a U.S. government license and may decline to proceed with an applicant on that basis.

  • Proficient on the Databricks Platform (or demonstrated ability to achieve proficiency rapidly) with a developing technical specialization in one area (e.g., real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, migrations)
  • Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders — whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off analysis
